Note - Blend Transitions don't work properly on my Elonex P233 with ATI Graphics, even with the latest version of IE4 . If blends don't work for you, it could just be hardware/driver incompatibility.
Blends are a special form of transition, a 'very soft dissolve'. You can use them like the revealTrans transitions, either to transition an object from one set of visual property values to another, or between visible and invisible states. There are no 'type' options, just a duration parameter (see page source for examples).
TIP - try the "blend pics and text colour" button. This shows that you can have more than one transition in progress on a page at the same time, provided they're all on different objects.
